The aim of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) is to contribute to achieving an ASEAN Community that is people-oriented and socially responsible to fulfil long lasting solidarity and unity amongst the people and Member States of ASEAN. It aims to create a common identity and build an inclusive sharing and caring society whilst enhancing the well-being, livelihood, and welfare of the people.

The focus of ASCC is on nurturing the human, cultural and natural resources for sustained development in a harmonious and people-oriented ASEAN.
